What does psychology study?
The word psychology comes from latin language which means science (logos) of soul (pychos). Psychology studies the behavior and the mind of human beings. Wilhelm Wound is the founder of psychology.This science is divided in some branches like Behaviourism, Psychoanalysis, Cognitive psychology, functionalism, structuralism, etc.
Behaviourism.
- Cognitive Behaviourism is the field that studies the behaviour of the human beings.
- Psychoanalysis studies the unconscious part of the mind, cognitive psychology studies the mind.
- Functionalism studies the functions of the organs.
- Structuralism studies the psychological phenomenons divided in small parts.
In conclusion, psychology is a science that includes the study of human behaviour, soul and mind.
